  16. You need 1 tsp of rai(mustard seeds).

This dhokla is prepared with sooji or semolina. I have added grated carrot to make it more healthy. You can add cooked and mashed green peas, finely chopped steamed mixed vegetables etc as per your preferences. Dhokla can be eaten for breakfast or as a snack.

  1. Mix suji, Maize flour, Sattu flour in a bowl and add curd,chopped chilli, ginger, garlic, peanut powder and salt as per taste in a bowl add water if needed and keep aside for 10-mins..
  2. Add baking soda and mix properly and pour the ready batter in a greased thali tap it and sprinkle red chilli powder and sesame seeds and steam it on high flame for 15-20 mins..
  3. When Dhokla thali is steamed completely take out and heat a kadai for tempering add oil,cumin,mustard, sesame when starts cracking add red chilli chopped and asafoetida and immediately pour on Dhokla with spoon all over..
