- Take a bowl add rava,curd,oil,salt and 1 1/2 cup of water and mix it well.Cover with a lid and keep it for 1 hour.Before steaming the dhoklas,add fruit saltand 2 tsp of water,when the bubbles form mix gently.Pour the batter immediately into a thali and shake the thali to spread the batter,steam in a steamer for 20 min.keep it cool..
- Take a tadka pan put oil add green chillies, mustard seeds,curry patta and saute for few seconds. Pour the tadka over the dhoklas and garnish with coriander and chat masala.
- Served with green coriander chutney or tomato ketchup.
I already have the Khaman Dhokla recipe in the blog that is made from scratch by soaking and grinding lentils. It is a time consuming process but worth every minute of it. Rava dhokla is cooked by steaming the curd and rava/ semolina mixture. To give it a final touch it's tampered with curry leaves and chilies. It's usually served with peanut chutney in my house.
