Dhokla instructions
- In a mixing bowl take gram flour, add salt, sugar and turmeric powder and mix well..
- Add water and prepare a smooth batter..
- Rest the batter for about 10 minutes..
- Grease the idli maker with some oil..
- Preheat the pressure cooker with some water..
- Just before pouring the batter into the idli plates add Eno and mix it gently..
- Pour the batter into the idli plates and place it in cooker and cover it..
- Steam cook the Dhokla for 10-12 minutes on medium flame..
- Check the Dhokla and firmly take it out using a spoon and bring it to the room temperature..
- For tempering: Now heat a pan with some oil, add mustard seeds and let it crackle..
- Add green chilli slits..
- Add some curry leaves..
- Saute it for a minute and then add a cup of water..
- Now add some salt and sugar and bring it to boil..
- Also add some coriander leaves..
- Now pour the tempered ingredients into the Dhokla and let it soak..
- Add some lemon juice and garnish with some coriander leaves..
