Lahori Paneer instructions

  1. If the paneer is store bought, then cut the paneer into cubes and keep in hot water for 5 minutes..
  2. After 5 minutes, remove from hot water and add it to a mixing bowl. Add all the spice powders mentioned under marination. Mix well so that the paneer gets coated with the masala..
  3. Add the gram flour and yoghurt. Sprinkle little water and mix well. No need for resting. You can fry it immediately..
  4. Heat oil in a small kadai. The oil should not be very hot. Fry the paneer evenly on both sides. Fry a few at a time. Remove and set aside..
  5. In a blender, add all the ingredients mentioned under 'Grind to a smooth paste'..

  7. Heat oil in a large khadai. Add all the ingredients mentioned under whole spices and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add the ground paste and let it saute for 5-7 minutes or till it gets dry and oil appears at the surface..
