Ingredients of Pav Bhaji

  1. It's 1 cup of each of capsicum, carrots, potato, peas, cabbage and cauliflower.
  2. Prepare 1 of onion, chopped.
  3. Prepare 1 tbsp. of ginger-garlic paste.
  4. It's 1 of tomato, chopped.
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp. of oil.
  6. It's 2-3 tbsp or as required of butter.
  7. Prepare 1 tsp. of tomato paste (opt).
  8. You need to taste of salt.
  9. You need 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder.
  10. You need 1 tsp. of red chilli powder.
  11. You need 1-2 tbsp. of pav bhaji masala / garam masala powder.
  12. It's as required of few pavs (bread).
  13. Prepare as required of onion, green chilies & lime wedges.

Pav Bhaji step by step

  1. Pressure cook the veggies in 1 cup water for 3-4 whistles. Heat oil in pan and saute the onion till light brown..
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste, tomato paste and all the dry spices mixed with some water to form a paste. Saute till the oil separates..
  3. Then add the tomatoes and continue to fry till it is mashed..
  4. Add the boiled veggies & continue to simmer, mashing it simultaneously..
  5. When done, add some butter and mix well..
  6. Toast the pav halves in butter on a tawa..
  7. Enjoy this delicious dish of pav Bhaji, accompanied with chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves, green chilies and a dash of lime..
