Ingredients of Sprouts moong dal chilla(dosa)
- It's 1 cup of green gram(moong dal).
- It's 3-4 of Green chilli.
- It's 1 inch of ginger piece.
- You need of Water(as required).
- It's of Salt(as taste).
- You need of Oil(for greasing).
- You need Half of tbs Fenugreek seeds.
Moong dal chilla can be made with both split & husked moong or whole moong. In this recipe I have used yellow mung lentils. Similarly towards the south side Pesarattu dosa are made from whole green gram. Course: dosa. finally, moong dal chilla is ready to serve with green chutney. notes: firstly, soak and blend moong dal really smooth, else it will be difficult to prepare chilla.
Sprouts moong dal chilla(dosa) step by step
- First wash it dal nicely and soak it for 5-6 hours with Fenugreek seeds..
- Now trasfer dal in a muslin cloth or strainer for sprouts....it will take around 10-12 hours..
- Once our dal sprouts will come....in a mixer will add sprouts,green chilli,ginger,salt and water... blend nicely and make a thick paste like dosa batter..
- Now spread it batter on tawa...(if we want like dosa will cook one side...otherwise both sides for chilla).....
- I tried both ways.....both came nicely.....we can add chopped onion also on top if like...in between add little oil all sides.....
- Serve with coconut chutney or salad😋..... Healthy and tasty breakfast is ready..
