My mom's simple chicken curry is filled with aromatic spices such as coriander and fennel powder. The addition of garam masala and ginger adds a nice warmth. - Prepare 1 Kg of Chicken.
- It's 2 of large onions.
- It's 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
- You need 1/2 TSP of turmeric.
- It's 1 tbsp of red chilli powder.
- You need 1 TSP of garam masala.
- You need 1/2 cup of chopped coriander.
- It's 1/2 cup of chopped pudina.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of oil.
- You need leaf of Whole garam masala (shajeera, elaichi, lavang, cinnamon,bay.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of curd.
This chicken curry is not overly complicated and will take roughly an hour to make. Add curry leaves, curry powder, chili powder, onion, turmeric, ginger, garlic and garam masala. Add the chicken and mix until the meat is coated with spices. Cover saucepan and cook/braise on moderate heat for a few minutes.

- Heat oil in a pan and add whole garam masala (shajeera, cardamom, Cloves, cinnamon and bay leaf) n fry for a minute.. Now sauté the onions, garlic & ginger paste till golden brown and add garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Let the spices cook now add chicken pieces into the masala. Stir well and cook covered in the oil till almost done. Now add 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of curd and stir well.
