Malvani Chicken Curry step by step
- Grind green chillies, coriander leaves ginger garlic mentioned under green paste section to form smooth green paste.
- Marinate chicken with green paste, turmeric, salt, red chilli powder for 1 hour or more.
- Dry roast all whole spices until aromatic and grind to fine powder.
- Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, add sliced onions and saute until golden brown, take it out and keep it aside.
- Add grated coconut and saute until golden brown. Add cumin seeds and garlic. Saute for 2 minutes. Allow to cool.
- Grind coconut, onions, cumin seeds and garlic with 1/2 cup water to form smooth Puree. Keep it aside.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add chicken and roast for 2 minutes. Take it out.
- In same pan, add chopped onions, ginger garlic and saute until onions are tender.
- Add ground puree, ground spice, salt, chilli powder and mix well.
- Keep stirring for 4-5 minutes over medium heat.
