- It's 2 cup of basmati rice.
- You need 3/4 kg of chicken.
- It's 1 cup of curd.
- You need 3 of big size sliced onion.
- It's 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
- It's 1 1/2 tbsp of red chilli powder.
- It's 1 tbsp of turmeric powder.
- You need 1 tbsp of roasted cumin powder.
- You need 1 tbsp of coriander powder.
- You need 1 1/2 tbsp of biryani masala.
- You need 1/2 tbsp of garam masala powder.
- You need 2 of green cardamom.
- You need 1 of black cardamom.
- It's 4-5 of clove.
- Prepare 6-7 of black pepper.
- It's 2 of tej patta.
- You need 4 cup of water.
- It's of Oil as required.
- It's to taste of Salt.
- You need of Few drop green food colour.
Chicken dum biryani instructions
- Marinate the chicken with curd, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and sliced onion for 4-5 hour.
- Put oil in a pan, heat it and fry onions till they turn golden brown..
- Now soaked the rice for 20-25 min..
- Now take a heavy handi and heat 3-4 tbsp oil after heating oil add marinated chicken and cook for 2 min then add tomato paste in chicken and stir it. Then add biryani masala and salt in chicken and cook for few minutes in medium to low flame..
- Now in another side we cooked rice. Take a deep pot combine the rice, water, salt and rice spices. Cook on high flame for 2-3 min..
- Strain the rice, and keep aside..
- Our chicken will be cooked, so now mix everything well and layer chicken evenly at the bottom, and then top of chicken equally spread the layar of rice sprinkle brown onion, few drop green food colour then again spread the layar of chicken and rice equally in same way and sprinkle onion and few drop green food colour..
- Now close the lid of handi tightly and cook to very low flame for 15-20 min..
