  1. Prepare 1 Kg of chicken boneless or with bones.
  2. It's 3/4 kg of basmati rice.
  3. You need to taste of whole spices (cinnamon,cloves,bay leaves,cardamom).
  4. It's 5-8 of slitted green chillies.
  5. You need 1 cup of onion paste.
  6. It's 1 cup of fried onions.
  7. Prepare 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
  8. It's 1/2 cup of khoya crumbled.
  9. Prepare 1 cup of yogurt.
  10. It's 1 cup of cashew paste.
  11. Prepare 1 1/2 tbsp of black pepper powder.
  12. It's 1 tsp of garam masala.
  13. It's 2-3 threads of Safron.
  14. You need as needed of Butter or ghee.

  1. Boil the rice with some whole spices.
  2. Cook till 3/4 done. Strain & keep aside.
  3. Heat ghee add the left whole spices.
  4. Add onion paste fry fr3 to 4 mins.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste and some slitted green chillies.
  6. Asaute fr some time. Add khoya cook till oil separates.
  7. Add the yogurt mix well.
  8. Add cashew paste fry fr few mins.
  9. Add chicken fry fr 5 to 8 mins.
  10. Add little water, salt,black pepper powder & garam masala.
  11. Cook till chicken is tender.
  12. When done add lemon juice & left green chillies.
  13. Soak saffron in warm milk.
  14. In a big pot spread rice at the bottom.
  15. Spread the chicken gravy..
  16. Again spread rice,sprinkle saffron and fried onions.
  17. Cover with aluminium foil.
  18. Cook on medium flame fr 10 to 20 mins.
  19. Serve hot with salad & raita.
