Ingredients of Chicken biryani

  1. Prepare 400 gram of Dehradun basmati rice.
  2. It's 400 grams of chicken.
  3. Prepare 2 of large Potatoes cut into two halves.
  4. Prepare 4 of Boiled eggs.
  5. Prepare 1/2 cup of hung curd.
  6. It's 2 of onion chopped.
  7. Prepare 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste.
  8. You need 1/2 cup of tomato puree.
  9. It's 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala powder.
  10. You need 1 teaspoon of red chilli Powder.
  11. You need 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  12. Prepare 1 tablespoon of biryani masala.
  13. Prepare 2-4 of bay leaves.
  14. You need 2 pods of green cardamoms.
  15. It's 2 of star anis.
  16. It's 2 sticks of cinnamon.
  17. Prepare 3-4 of cloves.
  18. Prepare 1 teaspoon of sahi jeera.
  19. You need 5-6 strands of kesar soaked in warm milk.

Chicken biryani instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with ginger garlic paste,oil curd,red chilli powder and garam masala powder for at least one hour..
  2. Boil water in a pot,add the whole masala ( bay lesf cardamom, cinnamon,cloves and star anis.
  3. Now wash the rice and boil it in the same water with salt.
  4. As the rice starts boiling remove from heat and strain the excess water.
  5. Spread the rice on a flat plate to cool down..
  6. Heat oil in a pan add the remaining whole garam masala bay leaf and sahi jeera,allow them to crackle.
  7. Add onion slices,ginger garlic paste and saute with salt and turmeric powder.
  8. Add Potatoes and saute.cover it well.
  9. As the Potatoes get golden brown add the chicken pieces.
  10. Saute and cover adding salt and turmeric.
  11. When the chicken pieces get tender add tomato puree and red chilli Powder.
  12. Combine it well and add curd.
  13. Cover for a while so that the Potatoes and chicken become soft.
  14. Now remove it from the pan and keep aside.
  15. Add oil and fry the boiled eggs with salt and turmeric powder.
  16. Now heat a pot add ghee and mix the biryani mssala and keep aside it in a bowl.
  17. Spread one layer of cooked rice arrange some of the Potatoes and chicken.
  18. Cover it with another layer of rice and place the remaining Potatoes and chicken pieces.
  19. Cover it with a layer of rice.place the boiled and fried eggs over it.
  20. Now mix the attar in the kesar soaked milk and sprinkle all over the biryani.
  21. Set a lid over the pot and seal it with atta dough.
