Ingredients of Chicken biryani
- You need 650 grams of Dehradun basmati rice.
- It's 5-6 of big pieces of chicken.
- Prepare 3 of Potatoes cut into two halves.
- You need 2 of onions sliced.
- Prepare 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste.
- Prepare 1 cup of tomato puree.
- It's 1 tablespoon of biryani masala.
- It's 2 tablespoon of hung curd.
- You need 1 teaspoon of shahi jeera.
- It's 2 of javitri.
- You need 1 of jaifal.
- It's 4-5 of green cardamoms.
- You need 3-4 of cloves.
- It's 2 sticks of cinnamon.
- It's As needed of ghee.
- It's To taste of salt and sugar.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of red chilli Powder.
- You need 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
- Prepare As needed of water.
- It's 5-6 strands of kesar soaked in warm milk (1 cup).
- You need 3-4 drops of mughlai attar.
Chicken biryani step by step
- Marinate the chicken pieces with salt,turmeric,red chilli Powder and curd,keep aside for 30 mnts.
- Boil water in a wide pan,add salt and all the whole masalas except shahi jeera.
- Wash the rice and pour into the water.
- As the rice becomes par Boiled remove and drain out the water,keep aside.
- Now heat oil in the pan add shahi jeera, onion slices saute well adding salt and turmeric powder.
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute well till the raw smell disappears.
- Now add the Potatoes and chicken fry well..
- Cover it and keep on a low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Add tomato puree and saute well adding red chilli Powder.
- As the chicken is cooked well add the rice and mix with a light hand.
- Drizzle the kesar soked milk and mughlai attar and cover.
- In another pan heat ghee and mix the biryani Masala.
- Pour this over the biryani.
- Chicken biryani is ready to be served with raita.
