Ingredients of Rajma masala

  1. It's 500 gm of Rajma(kidney beans).
  2. Prepare 5 of onion.
  3. You need 4 of tomato.
  4. You need 3 of green chillies.
  5. You need 1 inch of ginger.
  6. You need 8-10 of Garlic cloves.
  7. You need 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  8. Prepare 3 tsp of sukha dhaniya(dry Coriander powder).
  9. Prepare 2 tsp of red chilli powder.
  10. Prepare 1 tsp of garam masala.
  11. It's 1 tsp of jeera(cumin seeds).
  12. You need to taste of Salt.
  13. It's 3 tbsp of Oil.
  14. You need As needed of Water.
  15. Prepare 2 tsp of Coriander leaves for garnish.

Rajma masala instructions

  1. Wash the rajma and soak it overnight.
  2. Keep the other ingredients ready.
  3. Now take the onion, ginger and garlic and make a paste of it in the mixer..
  4. Now heat a pressure cooker and put oil.
  5. Then put jeera and after it splutters put the onion paste. Sauté for a few minutes..
  6. Now blend the tomatoes in the mixer. Add the paste in the cooker. Then add the green chillies. Sauté well for a few minutes..
  7. Next add the dry masala powders and salt. Mix well and cook till the raw smell goes away. It will take a few minutes.Then add the rajma. Pour sufficient water and mix.
  8. Then cover the cooker and pressure cook it for 5 whistles, then on low flame for 10 minutes. After that turn off the gas..
  9. Then when the cooker pressure releases open the cooker and mix the cooked rajma. Pour water and bring to required consistency. Check salt and spices and adjust accordingly. Garnish with coriander leaves..
